Chamber voices concern. (Around the North).


The Thunder Bay Thunder Bay, city (1991 pop. 113,946), SW Ont., Canada, on Thunder Bay inlet of Lake Superior. The city was created in 1970 by the amalgamation of the twin cities of Fort William and Port Arthur and two adjoining townships.  Chamber of Commerce is again voicing concern about a decision made by Thunder Bay city council The Thunder Bay City Council is the governing body of the City of Thunder Bay, Ontario, Canada. It consists of a mayor and twelve councillors. The mayor and five of the councillors are elected at large, the one councillor being elected for each of the city's seven wards: Current . This time it is the council's decision to recommend that $11 million in provincial Provincial has several meanings and may refer to:

 Super Build money be spent on a dual water system for the city. The chamber wants money directed to waterfront development in an attempt to stimulate economic development.

 against city council decisions that effect economic development. Time has almost run out for Thunder Bay to be eligible for $15 million in Heritage Fund money for waterfront development. The chamber wants a plan in place that will allow the city to ask for an extension on meeting conditions for the granting of the money. The deadline for the city to meet the conditions is the end of March.
