Chamber receives Sloan Award for workplace flexibility.

Sloan was born in New Haven, Connecticut.
 Awards for Business Excellence in Workplace Flexibility.

The awards were presented in April during the Chamber's Workforce Strategies Conference at the Fairlane Center in Dearborn. Accenture, Amerisure Mutual Insurance Co., Brogan & Partners Convergence Marketing, Plexus Systems LLC (Logical Link Control) See "LANs" under data link protocol.

Sloan, Jr., then-President and Chief Executive Officer of General Motors. , the award is part of When Work Works, a nationwide initiative to highlight the importance of workforce effectiveness and flexibility as a business strategy to enhance competitive advantage in the global economy and yield positive results.

When Work Works is an ongoing initiative of Families and Work Institute, the U.S. Chamber of Commerce's Center for Workforce Preparation and the Center for Emerging Futures.
