 Regional Chamber has long recognized the economic importance of our shared border An area on two or more Web pages that contains the same content. Shared borders are used to place logos, titles and other common elements on multiple Web pages. See frames.  with Canada and has actively monitored border crossing policy, staffing, technology and infrastructure issues for more than two decades. Following the 9/11 terrorist attacks, the Chamber formed the Border Command Center Task Force to address issues of national and economic security at the border, and successfully advocated to increase staffing and funding for technology improvements at the Michigan/Ontario border. The Chamber's Border Command Center Task Force and its Transportation Hub Transportation hub is a location where traffic is exchanged across several modes of transport. These modes may include any of railway, tramway, rapid transit, bus, automobile, truck, airplane, spacecraft, ship, ferry, pedestrian or any other kind of transportation.  Advisory Council will continue to monitor the progress of the Bi-National Study Group to address the need for additional border capacity in the Detroit/Windsor area and, as information from the study becomes available, will recommend Chamber policy and action.
