Chamber Music composition contest.The Humbolt Brass Chamber Music Workshop is holding a composition contest; winners' works will be performed during the July 2008 Brass Chamber Music Workshop in Arcata, California Arcata is a city, adjacent to Humboldt Bay, in Humboldt County, California, United States. The population was 16,651 during the 2000 Census. This college town is home to both the Humboldt State University and the Humboldt Crabs, a successful semi-professional baseball team. . First prize is $1,000, second prize is $500 and third prize is $250. All works will be played and judged by the BCMW coaching staff.
