Chairman and CEO of Toshiba America Hideo Ito Appointed to Enamics Board.


STAMFORD, Conn. -- Enamics, Inc., a business services company that provides knowledge, tools and expertise to help companies structure business technology decision-making, announced today that it has appointed Hideo Ito, Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Toshiba America, Inc., to its board of directors.

Mr. Ito has more than 36 years of experience within the Toshiba Corporation. He began his career in 1969 when he joined Toshiba Corporation, then Tokyo Shibaura Electric Company. In 1979, he became Manager of Strategic Business Planning for a joint venture with General Electric.

Subsequently, he returned to Toshiba as Manager, International Business Planning and Operations for the Semiconductor Group, where he was responsible for the operations of overseas manufacturing companies in the U. S., Germany, Malaysia and Mexico. Under his leadership, international strategic alliances were established with semiconductor companies such as Siemens, SGS-Thomson, LSI LSI: see integrated circuit.
