Chairman Senate hails FPCCI efforts to hold Intl conference and exhibition.

 Humayun Sayeed, Chairman, FPCCI FPCCI Federation of Pakistan Chambers of Commerce and Industry  Standing Committee on Foreign Investment and Trade Delegation and Former Vice President, held a meeting in Islamabad with Mr. Mr. Farooq H. Naik, Chairman Senate, in order to brief him about the objectives and the preparatory activities being undertaken so far for holding the forthcoming FPCCIs International Private Sector Investment Conference / Business Forum and Exhibition in Islamabad in October 2009. He said that the said Forum would provide a platform for networking and business exchange atmosphere to stimulate and generate different avenues of opportunities for businesses and joint ventures between Pakistani enterprises and their foreign partners. He emphasized that sound investment climate is crucial for economic growth. He said Pakistan Microeconomic reforms aim at simplifying business regulations, strengthening property rights, improving labour market flexibility Labour market flexibility refers to the degree in which labour markets quickly adapt to fluctuations and changes in society as well as in the economy or production.

He said Pakistan has liberalised investment policy, promoting a stronger and faster enabling framework and opening up almost all sectors for foreign investment while offering tax and other incentives for investment. This provides equal investment opportunities for both domestic and foreign investors.
