Bjerregaard provides a catalog of 45 textiles from the collection of Laguna de los Condores at the Museo Leymebamba. She examines burial offerings and mummy bundle wrappings that were part of the discovery made in 1996 at a cliffside burial site in Chachpoyas, Peru. Essays by other scholars (of bioanthropology, archaeology, anthropology, and pre-Columbian studies from the US and Peru) on Chachapoya iconography, culture, khipus, and the project to rescue the finds and the construction of the Museo Leymebamba are included. The volume is well illustrated with good quality color plates of the site and finds as well as many b&w drawings of the weaves used. There is no index.
