Certification group's role is praised.MANAMA: Industry and Commerce Minister Dr Hassan Fakhro yesterday received the executive secretary of Worldwide Systems for Conformity Testing and Certification of Electrotechnical and Components (IECEE IECEE International Electrotechnical Commission (standard) for Electrical Equipment ) Pierre de Ruvo. The minister praised efforts made by the organisation in preparing and developing international measures that specify minimum technical requirements that ensure consumer and environment safety as well as its development of procedures for verification of conformity of goods and services In economics, economic output is divided into physical goods and intangible services. The minister noted that the kingdom is in the final stages of joining this organisation as an associate member. This is a positive step for the kingdom which would give the opportunity to adopt international standards, said Dr Fakhro.
