Certification group's role is praised.


MANAMA: Industry and Commerce Minister Dr Hassan Fakhro yesterday received the executive secretary of Worldwide Systems for Conformity Testing and Certification of Electrotechnical and Components (IECEE IECEE International Electrotechnical Commission (standard) for Electrical Equipment ) Pierre de Ruvo.

The minister praised efforts made by the organisation in preparing and developing international measures that specify minimum technical requirements that ensure consumer and environment safety as well as its development of procedures for verification of conformity of goods and services In economics, economic output is divided into physical goods and intangible services. Consumption of goods and services is assumed to produce utility (unless the "good" is a "bad"). It is often used when referring to a Goods and Services Tax.  which can be identified through the application of goods and products of their own technical requirements was also highlighted.

The minister noted that the kingdom is in the final stages of joining this organisation as an associate member. This is a positive step for the kingdom which would give the opportunity to adopt international standards, said Dr Fakhro.

Mr de Ruvo spoke and identified the concept and the objective of his organisation. He also talked about a programme to verify conformity of electrical equipment A piece of electrical equipment is a machine, powered by electricity and usually consists of an enclosure, a variety of electrical components and often a power switch.   • Fire alarm panel
 and appliances.

Bahrain will host the 'International Gulf Conference for Electrotechnical Measure' which is organised by the standardisation authority of the GCC GCC: see Gulf Cooperation Council.

This conference is aimed at raising awareness of specialists in public and private sectors to achieve safety from electronic risk. It also aims to educate the industrial and commercial companies and regulators and consumers.
