Certificate souvenirs go on sale.

COPIES of Prince Charles and Camilla's marriage certificate were put up for sale yesterday at the bargain price of pounds 3.50.

And anyone keen to obtain one of the documents were urged by staff at the Windsor and Maidenhead Register Office to move quickly.

Once the current registry book fills up and the royal couple's certificate is sent to the archives, the price for a copy will double to pounds 7.

Deputy registrar Marilyn Macaluso, who is dealing with requests for the royal couple's marriage papers, said: 'No mistakes were made filling in the entry on the register on Saturday. It went beautifully.'

The formal witnesses to Charles and Camilla's civil union were listed as their sons, Prince William, who signed simply 'Wills', andTomParkerBowlesThe names of the couple were put down as His Royal Highness Prince Charles Philip Arthur George the Prince of Wales, aged 56, and Camilla Rosemary Parker Bowles, 57.

Both state their previous marriages as dissolved.

Camilla left the column denoting 'rank or profession' blank. Her husband described himself as 'Prince of the United Kingdom'.

The document shows Charles's father as HRH the Prince Philip, rank or profession 'Duke of Edinburgh'.

Major Bruce Middleton Hope Shand Kydd, a 'director (retired)', is listed as Camilla's father.
