Industry Veteran to Lead Product Development Team

With an extensive background in networking, security and storage technologies, Urbas will head Certeon's product development team and continue the Company's mission of providing secure acceleration for mission critical applications.

Certeon's S-Series Application Acceleration Appliances leverage its Application Acceleration Blueprints[TM] to speed applications over the WAN. Prior to joining Certeon, Urbas held senior management positions at both IntelliReach and Authentica. He led each organization's product development and oversaw the technology roadmap, leading to the subsequent sale of both companies. In addition, he served as vice president and general manager of network security at Axent Technologies, where he ran the Raptor Business Unit after a merger. At Raptor Systems, Urbas served as the senior vice president of engineering. Urbas holds a bachelor's degree in computer science from Hofstra University.
