Announces S-Series Application Acceleration Blueprints for 2007 Office, SharePoint, and Exchange

BURLINGTON, Mass. -- Certeon, the industry's first vendor to provide Application Intelligent Networking[TM] for significantly accelerating applications over wide area networks (WANs), today announced the availability of its new S-Series[TM] Application Acceleration Blueprints[TM] for the 2007 Microsoft([R]) Office([TM]), SharePoint([R]), and Exchange Server platforms. Certeon, an innovator in securely accelerating Microsoft Office and SharePoint applications, now extends its application acceleration support to include the 2007 Microsoft platforms and Microsoft Exchange (2003 and 2007).

Certeon met global enterprise needs to drive the deployment of these applications with the February 2006 launch of its S-Series Application Acceleration Appliances with embedded blueprints for Microsoft Office and SharePoint applications. Certeon's S-Series Application Acceleration Blueprints identify specific application objects and apply differencing on those objects to ensure that only changed data is transmitted. The result is a dramatic reduction in the amount of data being transferred over the WAN. Certeon will now include 2007 Microsoft Office, Microsoft Office SharePoint Server (MOSS) 2007, and Exchange Server (2003 and 2007) in its expanding suite of S-Series Application Acceleration Blueprints.

Specifically, Certeon is able to accelerate compressed content found in Office 2007 OpenXML file formats. Through its new blueprint, Certeon's S-Series quickly identifies and differences these files with more accuracy than traditional WAN optimization solutions.
