CHICAGO -- Since Sun unveiled the Java programming language for network-based applications nearly 10 years ago, that technology has expanded rapidly, and today is run on more than 650 million computers. To support its products and the customers that use them, Sun has credentials that cover all three platforms of Java: Java 2 Platform, Standard Edition (language, programming) Java 2 Platform, Standard Edition - (J2SE) Sun's Java programming platform aimed at network-oriented enterprise applications.
