National Computer Parts Service Provider to Market Re-Certified Parts

for Dell Computers Direct On the Internet

The Cerplex Group Inc. (OTCBB:CPLX), a leading provider of parts, repair and logistics services to the high-tech industry, Monday announced that it has signed a three-year agreement with Dell Financial Services L.P., a lessor of computers manufactured by Dell Computer Corp., to provide for sale, of refurbished Dell parts from off-lease PCs on a nationwide basis.

The parts will be refurbished by The Cerplex Group and sold through its extensive PartSmart Network(TM) (PSN), an Internet-based information exchange that provides cost-effective on-line parts procurement of new and refurbished parts from over 75 parts suppliers. Currently, the PartSmart Network has an available inventory valued at more than $3 billion, over 16 million parts and supplies and contains more than 100,000 part numbers. The PartSmart database is updated several times a day to reflect the most current inventory levels.

The Cerplex Group said it will offer re-certified Dell replacement parts and subassemblies for a wide variety of Dell desktop and laptop PC models including CDROM drives, motherboards, memory, processors, power supplies, hard drives, monitors, and notebook LCD screens at competitive prices. Prior to resale, these parts will undergo a rigorous multi-step re-certification process conducted by Cerplex's highly trained technicians at its Louisville, Ky. facility.

Using the PartSmart Network, customers can search by a Dell part number or part description to instantly determine quantity, pricing, availability, warranty information, and shipping deadlines for re-certified Dell parts and then immediately order the selected parts online. Since the PartSmart Network is Web-based, it is universally accessible by any platform through a Web browser and available for order processing or tracking 24 hours a day.

Larry McTavish said Cerplex would target several key markets for the re-certified Dell parts. These markets include third-party maintenance providers that provide computer-related repair and maintenance services for large companies, fourth-party maintainers that operate repair depots, and large companies who opt to support their internal user systems maintenance requirements with their own technical resources.

Cerplex will support the sale of the re-certified Dell parts from offices in Irvine, Louisville, and at Dell Financial Services' headquarters in Austin, Texas. The re-certified parts will be marketed under Dell part numbers.
