Cerner Announces Availability of Millennium 2007.

KANSAS CITY, Mo. -- Cerner Corp. (NASDAQ:CERN) today announced the availability of Cerner Millennium[R] 2007, a healthcare information technology computing platform that helps health professionals improve safety, quality and efficiency. Combining technology with knowledge, the Cerner Millennium platform allows health professionals to run tests, make diagnoses, place orders, fill medications, document care or remit bills using a single information system.

Cerner Millennium 2007 updates the company's industry-differentiating universal framework with major enhancements, giving specific attention to physician workflow. The framework enhances the experience of the entire care delivery team and lays a foundation for improvements in future releases.

Cerner employed an iterative design process that gathered regular feedback from more than 200 clinicians to understand and build the process models and solutions required to support seamless workflows. Cerner and its client testing partners validated the release, in client-specific scenarios and configurations to maximize stability and performance before making it generally available today.

Though a key focus of the 2007 release is the physician, Cerner also has improved other functionality areas. In all, the release includes more than 8,600 added features, including support for medication reconciliation, hospital-wide discharge, professional judgment patient acuity and a series of strategic critical care and perioperative upgrades.
