at the end of each pay period. The new Pay Period CD can be used alone or with Ceridian's existing Archival CD solution, which offers payroll summary information on a monthly, quarterly or annual basis, and year-end W-2 data on CD-ROM. Ceridian Employer Services is currently the only company to offer both pay period and archival CD-ROM services to payroll customers.

Designed for customers who use Ceridian's Signature(R) Payroll Service, Pay Period CD provides all payroll data and summary information from the current pay period on a single CD-ROM, which is delivered with the company's employee paychecks. This gives payroll professionals immediate online access to the most recent payroll data, reducing the time normally spent searching through stacks of hard copy to find or verify specific information.

"Pay Period CD is another example of how Ceridian is using technology to help payroll professionals become more efficient and strategic," said Robert Digby Robert Digby may refer to:

, senior vice president, marketing, for Ceridian Employer Services. "By offering a summary CD-ROM each pay period, we are helping payroll professionals eliminate much of the time and headaches associated with those crucial first few days after a payroll is processed, which is when our customers tell us that they do 75 percent of all their payroll research."

In addition to saving payroll professionals time, Ceridian's Pay Period and Archival CDs save money and storage space and promote the paperless office. By storing payroll records on CD-ROM, companies can eliminate the boxes of hard-copy payroll data that they previously had to store in order to comply with Internal Revenue Service regulations. "Our Pay Period and Archival CDs give customers a proven way to economically store and retrieve payroll data," Digby said. "Storing payroll information may be a legal necessity, but it doesn't have to be time- and space-consuming. Companies can literally keep years of payroll data in a desk drawer."

Both the Pay Period CD and Archival CD are available to all Ceridian Signature Payroll customers nationwide.
