Cereplast Inc. Announces First International Partnership With Brazilian Plastics Manufacturer.

HAWTHORNE, Calif. -- Cereplast Inc. (OTCBB:CERP), producer of resins made from renewable and biodegradable sources, announced today that it has signed an agreement with a Brazilian plastics manufacturer. IraPlast Ltda, located in Iracemapolis, outside of Sao Paulo, will represent Cereplast in Brazil for sales of its resin.

IraPlast will import Cereplast's resin for several of its clients, which include Sherwin-Williams, Akzo Nobel, Gymcol, Brasilux and Starplast. IraPlast has already received inquiries from other large companies in Brazil, especially in the cosmetics industry. Founded in 1988, IraPlast manufactures injection-molded plastic components for a variety of industries, including automotive, cosmetics, chemicals and food processing.

Cereplast bio-resins are made from annually renewable resources and formulated in a patented and proprietary manufacturing process that incorporates starch and other biodegradable components, including PLA from NatureWorks(R) LLC.
