Cerberian Releases Version 2.0 of its Web-Based Internet Content Filtering Application.

Updated Windows Agent to provide more accurate Internet

filtering and increased stability and security

Cerberian Inc., a leading provider of employee Internet management services, Monday released version released version - release  2.0 of its Cerberian Internet Manager Windows Agent.

The company's updated Windows Agent will provide users with more accurate Internet monitoring Analyzing traffic on the Internet. Monitoring is performed to determine packet volume for network configuration as well as to find out how employees are spending their time on the Internet. This is the first step in determining whether or not filtering should be added to the network.  and filtering services and more secure administrative features.

As part of the Windows Agent update, Cerberian has added the following features:
-- Auto Update, which ensures that the customer is using the latest version of
the Cerberian Internet Manager. If a later version is found, Cerberian will
automatically alert the users and allow them to immediately update.

-- Lookup Appliance, which acts as a large external cache that stores requested
Web site URLs along with their Cerberian category rating. The cache is updated
with new information instantaneously, allowing users to receive up-to-date
categorized Web site ratings with increased speed and accuracy.

-- Auto Detection of proxy setting and the presence of other LSPs (Layered
Service Providers) upon install, and administrator rights upon login. These
features, in addition to administrative password protection, are designed to
strengthen security for business clients and partners.
