Ceramabond 685, a high-temperature ceramic adhesive, is used to bond ceramic gasketing materials to galvanized steel ductwork used in exhaust flue applications to 1850[degrees] F. The adhesive is a single component, dispensable, silica-based system that bonds tenaciously to ceramic and galvanized metal substrates. The fast-setting, thixotropic paste contains no asbestos or volatile organic compounds.
