Ceradyne Inc. ("Company") (Nasdaq:CRDN CRDN Certified Restoration Drycleaning Network ) today announced that Biljana Mikijelj, Ph.D., a key scientist at Ceradyne's research and development facility, will present a technical paper at the 7th International Symposium, Ceramic Materials and Components for Engines, being held in Goslar, Germany.

At this gathering of ceramic experts from around the world, Dr. Mikijelj will discuss a manufacturing process, which significantly reduces the cost barrier to using ceramics in automotive engines to improve fuel economy and reduce pollutant emissions. Representatives from major automakers will also be in attendance.

Dr. Mikijelj's presentation, "SRBSN SRBSN Sintered Reaction-Bonded Silicon Nitride  Material Development for Automotive Applications," describes how sintered sin·ter
