It is a transportation, residential, and light industrial center. , Calif. -- Ceradyne, Inc. (Company) (Nasdaq:CRDN CRDN Certified Restoration Drycleaning Network ) announced it received a $2.8 million order for the Company's lightweight ceramic armor for use on a Navy vessel. First of its kind for Ceradyne, the order was placed by the Naval Surface Warfare Center Noun 1. Naval Surface Warfare Center - the agency that provides scientific and engineering and technical support for all aspects of surface warfare NSWC for delivery in late 2005. The ships, which will use the Ceradyne system, are of the LCAC LCAC Landing Craft Air Cushion LCAC Lorton Community Action Center (Virginia) LCAC Lake County Airboat Club (Florida, USA) LCAC Library Consumers' Advisory Council (Landing Craft Air Cushion) type. Marc King, Ceradyne vice president of armor operations, commented: "I am particularly pleased that the Navy chose Ceradyne as the armor supplier for this ship.
