) announced today the appointment of Virginia Boulet to the Board of Directors after the retirement of Tom Lovett
    Thomas Joseph Lovett (Born: December 07, 1863 in Providence, Rhode Island; Died: March 19, 1928 in Providence, Rhode Island) was a 19th Century Major League Baseball player who pitched a total of six season, mainly for the Brooklyn Bridegrooms of the American Association and

    Lovett retired from the Board in January.

    Boulet is a partner with the law firm Phelps Dunbar in New Orleans New Orleans (ôr`lēənz –lənz, ôrlēnz`), city (2006 pop. 187,525), coextensive with Orleans parish, SE La., between the Mississippi River and Lake Pontchartrain, 107 mi (172 km) by water from the river mouth; founded , La. Prior to joining Phelps Dunbar, she was a partner with the law firm Jones, Walker, Waechter, Poitevent, Carrere & Denegre also in New Orleans. She has extensive experience in working with public companies in areas of regulation, acquisition, and public and private offerings of securities.

    Boulet received her bachelor's degree from Yale University Yale University, at New Haven, Conn.; coeducational. Chartered as a collegiate school for men in 1701 largely as a result of the efforts of James Pierpont, it opened at Killingworth (now Clinton) in 1702, moved (1707) to Saybrook (now Old Saybrook), and in 1716 was . She graduated cum laude from Tulane University School of Law, receiving her Juris Doctorate. She is a member of the Bank Counsel Section of the Louisiana Bankers Association, the American Bar Association American Bar Association (ABA), voluntary organization of lawyers admitted to the bar of any state. Founded (1878) largely through the efforts of the Connecticut Bar Association, it is devoted to improving the administration of justice, seeking uniformity of law  and the Tulane Law School Dean's Council.

    "Ms. Boulet has served as legal counsel to a number of major companies including telecommunications firms," Glen F. Post, III, president and chief executive officer, said. "We look forward to the knowledge and expertise she will bring to Century's Board.

    "Mr. Lovett has served on Century's Board for 14 years and has been affiliated with Century for 31 years," Post said. "We will certainly miss his contributions and wish him well as he retires."

    Boulet will complete Lovett's term on the Board which expires in 1996.
