Century 21 & Verizon to Receive Pioneer Awards at TechLearn 2003; Both Companies to Be Recognized for the Development & Pursuit of Comprehensive e-Learning Strategies.

The MASIE Center today announced that Century 21 and Verizon will be the recipients of the 2003 TechLearn Pioneer Awards for their outstanding efforts in enterprise-wide learning. Accepting the awards will be George Selix, Chief Learning Officer of Century 21 Real Estate Corp. and Eli Munzer, Chief e-Learning Architect for Verizon.

The awards will be presented at TechLearn 2003 to be held at Disney's Coronado Springs Resort Disney's Coronado Springs Resort is a resort hotel at the Walt Disney World Resort that opened on August 1, 1997. During the four-day event, speakers will address the full range of deploying learning technologies and training, including e-Learning, digital collaboration, learning management, instructional design Instructional design is the practice of arranging media (communication technology) and content to help learners and teachers transfer knowledge most effectively. The process consists broadly of determining the current state of learner understanding, defining the end goal of , new models of classroom training, and aligning learning with business drivers and outcomes.

The TechLearn 2003 conference will focus on the reality of what practitioners face every day as they implement learning and training in their organization. New features this year include thirty practical seminars, each 22 minutes long, which will be offered three times on Monday, November 3. This is a high energy, down-to-earth way to participate in the key conversations in the learning field.
