Centurion lands not affected by the Grand Staircase-Escalante National Monument.


SALT LAKE CITY--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Sept. 24, 1996--Centurion Mines Corp. (NASDAQ:CTMC) Tuesday announced that the creation of the Grand Staircase-Escalante National Monument in Southern Utah does not affect Centurion's operations in any way.

The closest boundary of the new National Monument is more than 60 miles from Centurion's nearest property. Also, Centurion operates primarily on privately owned lands and not on Federal lands which can be subject to changes in mining and wilderness regulations.

Centurion Mines is one of the largest holders of mining properties in the State of Utah (USA), and is in the business of exploration, ore development, and mining of gold, silver and copper.
