. The platform's new synchronization and transparent reconnect features, coupled with its secure real-time access capabilities, provide a comprehensive mobile platform to extend critical enterprise data and applications running on any device.

This latest version of Centura's MAP provides a unique solution that combines the benefits of the real-time and synchronization computing models to ensure that critical enterprise information is always at the tip of the mobile worker's fingers. The new platform builds upon the powerful capabilities of previous versions which include programmable messaging services, security, COM/DCOM support and support for multiple operating systems Operating systems can be categorized by technology, ownership, licensing, working state, usage, and by many other characteristics. In practice, many of these groupings may overlap. , to increase workflow efficiency and improve operations management Operations management is an area of business that is concerned with the production of goods and services, and involves the responsibility of ensuring that business operations are efficient and effective. .

The advantages that Centura brings to the mobile enterprise have been realized at Powerlan, Australia's largest public IT services company and leading supplier of end-to-end IT&T services throughout the Asia Pacific. After in-depth market research, Powerlan, with 34 offices in eight countries around the world, selected Centura as the preferred solution to mobilize Powerlan's internal CRM application. By integrating Centura's MAP solution, Powerlan will be able to extend the enterprise to all points of the organization that directly interact with customers and execute business transactions.

"Centura has demonstrated that it is a clear leader in the mobile application arena," said Theo Baker, CEO (1) (Chief Executive Officer) The highest individual in command of an organization. "When we decided that we needed to securely extend our internal CRM capabilities to our mobile workforce, we knew that Centura would be able to provide us with an unparalleled solution."

Mobile Application Platform New Feature Highlights

Database Synchronization

Real-time access to databases and enterprise applications ensures that mobile workers have access to the most current information. However, when a wireless connection is unavailable or drops out, mobile workers need access to synchronized local data to continue doing business. To meet this requirement, Centura incorporated iMobile Data Synchronization Keeping data in two or more computers up-to-date so that each repository contains the identical information. Data in handheld devices and laptops often require synchronization with the data in a desktop machine or server.  from Synchrologic, the leader in synchronizing Business Data Anywhere.

iMobile Data Synchronization provides a high level of reliability, ensuring that mobile workers don't lose data and are able to continue working, even if the wireless connection is lost. Mobile workers may also choose to work offline, storing data locally. Users have the flexibility to specify if data sets should be stored locally, sent directly to the mobile application server, or synchronized from the local datastore to the backend database. When they establish a connection, synchronization lets users connect with the backend database server through Centura's mobile application platform server.

"We are pleased that Centura has chosen to incorporate our technology to help ensure mobile device users have anywhere access to the vital business data they need to be effective," said Bill Jones, vice president of product management and marketing of Synchrologic. "Our data sync technology is the ideal complement to Centura's powerful real-time access capabilities."

Local Datastore

Centura's datastore is the local database that Centura's Mobile Application Platform utilizes for offline data storage and management. The local datastore implements a limited SQL SQL

processor that is accessed through the existing Mobile Application Platform API. This capability allows mobile application robustness enabling information usage for both enterprise connected and disconnected operations.

Transparent Reconnection

The Mobile Application Platform can detect a lost connection with the application server and can automatically re-establish the connection as soon as communication is possible. This seamless complementary function allows the mobile worker to continue working without disruption during drop off and reconnection events as well as preventing restarts during synchronization operations.

"Our mobile platform's combination of real-time functionality with transparent reconnect and synchronization capabilities enables our customers to optimize their existing enterprise information assets," said Scott Broomfield, chairman and CEO of Centura Software. "Together with our partners, we are fulfilling a very real demand for complete mobile enterprise management solutions."

Pricing and Availability

Centura's Mobile Application Platform includes a one-time payment for the server license, updates on new product versions/releases, support and customization. Pricing starts at $50,000 for up to 25 users and increases incrementally according to according to
