Science Applications International Corporation's (SAIC) Broadway & Seymour Group today announced that Centura Banks, Inc. (NYSE:CBC) has selected the group's TouchPoint(TM) customer relationship management (CRM) solution as the bank's sales and service platform.

Centura, an $11 billion-asset financial services institution based in Rocky Mount, N.C., provides a complete line of banking, investment, insurance, leasing, and wealth management services to individuals and businesses in North Carolina, South Carolina, and Virginia.

Centura will be the first U.S. bank to implement the solution across multiple delivery channels and the ninth to implement TouchPoint. Centura initially will roll out TouchPoint across its entire enterprise as the corporate desktop and portal for CRM access. Later in 2001, the bank will begin implementation of TouchPoint's platform and teller functionality in its banking centers.
