Centrinity Wins C$1 Million+ Contract with the Danish National Conferencing Service.

Centrinity Inc. (TSE:CTI.), which develops and markets leading unified communications and collaborative groupware technologies, today announced it has signed a three-year upgrade contract valued at more than $1 million to provide its FirstClass Gold solution to SkoleKom, the Danish National Conferencing Service.

SkoleKom has been using FirstClass since 1995. FirstClass Gold is state-of-the-art communication, collaborative learning, and calendaring software that allows educators and students to efficiently create online knowledge-sharing communities with unprecedented ease, scalability, and functionality.

FirstClass Gold will initially be made available to SkoleKom's existing user base of roughly 260,000 educators and students. It will subsequently grow to become the largest homogenous education network in the world running on a single server, and include 1.2 million teachers and students. With FirstClass Gold, SkoleKom has the potential to serve as many as 3 million users over the next three years if the organization expands its network to include parents and the community.

In other news today, Centrinity announced it intends to launch a full Japanese version of FirstClass Gold in Japan in partnership with ASCII, a subsidiary of CSK and a sister company to Sega. Centrinity is providing FirstClass software to facilitate the SchoolNet trial.

Recently, Centrinity's FirstClass server was also chosen to power a promising new pilot project that will see 4000 Dreamcast games machines installed in homes throughout Japan to create an online community of parents, students, and teachers that may eventually be rolled out nationwide.
