Centric Software Announces New Executive Positions Following Product Sight Acquisition; Product Sight CEO Bruce Winegarden to Become VP of Consumer Electronics and Ravi Rangan Continues as CTO with Centric Software.

SAN JOSE, Calif. -- Centric Software, Inc., the leading provider of OpenPLM(TM) for the extended enterprise, announced today that they have created two new executive positions following their acquisition of Product Sight Corporation. Product Sight president and Chief Executive Officer Bruce Winegarden will become Centric's vice president of consumer electronics and Chief Technology Officer Ravi Rangan will continue in that position with Centric Software.

Product Sight is a developer of powerful product data and enterprise search solutions. All Product Sight employees have accepted positions with Centric Software and will continue to operate out of their Bellevue, WA, location.

Winegarden will apply his proven track record of creating and growing market-leading software companies to Centric's product development and sales initiatives in the consumer electronics sector. Rangan brings to his position as CTO a unique combination of deep technical knowledge with real-world PLM implementation experience. Prior to co-founding Product Sight, Rangan was Metaphase (UGS Teamcenter Enterprise) solution architect with The Boeing Company's "Define and Control Aircraft Configuration/ Manufacturing Resource Management (DCAC/MRM) Program," consulting with various business process, IT architecture teams and providing leadership to the architecture, design and implementation phases of the program.

Rangan currently serves on the Executive Steering Committee of ASME CIE Division. He is a founding member of the ASME's JCISE editorial board and reviews articles for several journals. Rangan has periodically organized symposia, panels and tutorials in the broad area of PLM at several international conferences and Universities. Rangan completed his Ph.D. in Mechanical Engineering (specializing in engineering information management) from Georgia Tech.
