Centric Parts Celebrates Sixth Consecutive Award From The Friction Materials Standards Institute (FMSI).

LOS ANGELES -- Centric Parts, a leading manufacturer and supplier of aftermarket brake components and systems for everyday cars, performance duty vehicles and ultra performance vehicles, today celebrated their industry leading sixth consecutive FMSI Award for contributions to the automotive industry.

The Friction Materials Standards Institute, the organization behind the FMSI Award, was founded in 1948 to maintain a standardized part numbering system used by the automotive aftermarket friction industry, and to disseminate to its members scientific, engineering, technological, statistical and other relevant information. The FMSI Award program was started six years ago to recognize companies that excel in actively contributing information and research to support the system. Only two to three are handed out each year and Centric Parts has been identified as an industry leader every time.

"Our support of FMSI is an outgrowth of how Centric does business," stated Dan Lelchuk, President of Centric Parts, which also includes the StopTech and Power Slot brands. "Centric amassed a physical inventory consisting of thousands of distinct original equipment parts which we analyze to determine and fill the needs of the aftermarket industry. Sharing this information with our competitors through FMSI serves to improve the industry and provide better solutions to its customers, which is certainly Centric's goal."

Centric Parts (www.centricparts.com) continually innovates significant improvements to brake technology for the street and track, having earned four patents along the way, providing superior performance, quality and value. Centric Parts offerings include PosiQuiet premium Metallic, Ceramic and Extended Wear formulas, an OE product line, plus Axxis and C-TEK standard grade materials. StopTech (www.stoptech.com), Centric's ultra performance division, is a leading innovator of world class brake components and systems for production-based racing cars and high performance vehicles on the street and track. Power Slot (www.powerslot.com), Centric's performance division, focuses on entry level brake upgrade solutions and pioneered direct fit performance rotors for trucks, SUVs and severe duty vehicles.
