Centre sees surge in demand.

ST HELENS Chamber has expanded its Business Training Centre following a surge in demand for its services.

Hundreds of businesses have used the centre since it opened a year ago, offering a range of training programmes.

As demand continues to increase, the centre, based at the Chamber's Technology Campus offices, has now been enlarged to include a training room and meeting rooms alongside the existing facilities and IT suite.

Joe O'Rourke, director of training services at the Chamber, said: "The Business Training Centre has been a resounding success, with hundreds of businesses voting with their feet and choosing our training programmes to meet their workforce development needs. We are very pleased to announce both an expansion of our facilities and an addition to the range of training on offer, which will now also include IT workshops on a variety of topics."

The Chamber offers training in health and safety, leadership and management, customer service and IT, with a range of apprenticeships.
