Centralization of OICs. (IRS News).


The IRS An abbreviation for the Internal Revenue Service, a federal agency charged with the responsibility of administering and enforcing internal revenue laws.  reports that its OIC "Oh, I see." See digispeak.

 program is now centralized. All offers now go through one of two sites--the Brookhaven or Memphis IRS service centers.

The sites will be responsible for determining processability and case building for all OICs. The IRS reports that up to 70 percent of new offers will be worked to completion at these locations. The remainder will be worked at local area offices.

Taxpayers residing in California and filing a new offer should mail forms for wage earners or self-employed without employees to:
