The 2007 Best Companies To Work For competition is organized by The Business Journal, Best Companies Group, Economic Development Corporation, Denham Resources, Greater Fresno Chamber of Commerce and the Human Resource Association of Central California to identify which companies are voted best to work for by current employees.

Central Valley Community Bank competed against other large profit and non-profit companies with 100 employees or greater in the Fresno, Kern, Kings, Madera, Merced and Tulare counties. The competition evaluates all participating companies through an internal assessment, with an employer survey focused on policies and practices and anonymous employee surveys assessing the internal work environment. The competition was designed to recognize those distinguished companies which go above and beyond to create an ideal working environment for their employees and to develop business and ethical standards for other companies to model.
