Central Neb. voters reject tax to expand CCC facilities.


GRAND ISLAND, Neb. (AP) -- Voters in a 25-county area have rejected a 3-cent tax levy that would have let Central Community College finish several building projects on its three campuses.

A total of 59 percent of voters said no in the November November: see month.  election to a measure that would have cost the owner of a $100,000 home $30 a year, or $150 for the five years it would have been in place.

The vote denies funding for the expansion of the transportation technology building and the construction of a new academic education building on the Hastings Hastings, city, England
