Central Government committed to help poor: Rahul Gandhi.Byline: ANI Surat, Feb 14, (ANI): Congress General Secretary Rahul Gandhi on Saturday visited the diamond workers here and said the Central Government is committed to work for poor. "The Congress Party believes in the common man and the poor of this country and over the last five years, we have done more than any government to help the common man," Gandhi said. On the last day of his three-days visit to Gujarat, Gandhi was meeting with diamond workers in Surat, which has been hit by global recession in recent times. He also blamed the State's Bharatiya Janata Party Bharatiya Janata party (bär`ətēə jän`ətə) [Hindi,=Indian People's party] (BJP), Indian political party that espouses Hindu nationalism.
