Central Gaza City media building and UNRWA hit.

Gaza / PNN -- Israeli forces again targeted the press in the Gaza Strip Thursday. A missile struck central Gaza City's media building housing several outlets including Reuters and Abu Dhabi television.This is the center of Gaza City and the major building for media. The United Nations Relief and Works Agency was also hit after concern was expressed for the safety of employees there earlier today. A journalist working for Abu Dhabi was injured in the strike along with 10 other journalists. Reuters journalists working inside the building describe the hit as coming from a missile or rocket. They evacuated the 16 story Sharouq Building in the central Ramal neighborhood.The thirteenth floor holds the studio of a local television production company, while Reuters has its offices on the second floor. Smoke rose directly from the roof of the building which is taller than those nearby on this central Gaza City street, Omar Al Mukhtar.An Israeli military spokesperson says they are "checking the report."UNRWA spokesperson Adnan Abu Hasna said earlier this morning that there was major shelling nearby the headquarters. Later Israeli forces shelled the building, injuring three employees. Abu Hasna reports that several shells landed inside. This is part of the attack on southwestern Gaza City's densely populated Tel Al Hawa neighborhood where the Al Aqsa Hospital is under reporting being hit.
