:CENT) today announced that it plans to withdraw and refile within 30 to 60 days its previously filed Form 10 registration statement relating to the proposed spin off of its lawn and garden distribution business to shareholders. Central plans to refile the Form 10 after it has been updated to reflect the restructuring of Central's lawn and garden distribution business. Under the rules of the Securities and Exchange Commission, the Form 10, which was filed with the SEC in early June, would become effective by operation of law on August 8, 2000 unless it is withdrawn.
