Central Freight Lines Promotes Eddie Sherman to Director Of Pricing.

WACO, Texas -- Walt Ainsworth, Executive Vice President of LTL carrier Central Freight Lines, Inc. (NASDAQ:CENF) announced today the promotion of Eddie Sherman to Director of Pricing. Sherman, who has worked for Central since 1976, was formerly the company's Manager of Pricing.

In his new position Sherman is in charge of managing all of the daily pricing activities, including field sales and corporate accounts, approving and implementing customer contracts and improving company yield. "Market conditions, competition, and changing customer demands all affect pricing," said Sherman. "I enjoy the challenge of crunching the numbers and delivering competitive pricing that meets our customer's needs and expectations, while at the same time protects the revenue yield needed by our company. Immediately following his graduation from Baylor University in 1976 with a BAA in Finance, Sherman began his career with Central as a Rate Clerk in the Traffic Department in Waco.
