Central City News:Youth exchange; DERITEND.


A BIRMINGHAM charity is hosting a European youth conference to raise awareness of homelessness.

A group of young people from Britain, Romania, Spain and Poland will be in the city for the eight day exchange programme.

The programme starts on Sunday Sunday: see Sabbath; week.  to October 22, and the youngsters will take place in activities including art, dance, music and poetry.

There will be a special inter-cultural performance at the Orange Studio on Friday October 20.

This is the first time St Basils, in Heath Mill Lane, has hosted a youth exchange programme, funded through the British Council The British Council is one of the United Kingdom's cultural relations organisations and which specialises in educational opportunities. It is a non-departmental public body and is registered as a charity in England.  Youth Programme.
