Central City News: School means business with new scheme; SMALL HEATH.


A PILOT scheme to highlight the links between the business and education sector has been launched at Small Heath Small Heath can be:
  • Small Heath, an area of Birmingham, England.
  • Small Heath or Small Heath Alliance, former names of Birmingham City F.C.
  • The Small Heath butterfly, (Coenonympha pamphilus)
 Upper School.

Pupils at the school in Muntz Street were divided into ten teams and given a business mentor.

The 14-year-old pupils were then given a selection of problems to work through including how Birmingham could benefit from the 2012 Olympic Games Olympic games, premier athletic meeting of ancient Greece, and, in modern times, series of international sports contests. Although records cannot verify games earlier than 776 B.C.
 and how supermarket shopping on a national basis can be improved along with the links between education and business. Once the heats were completed, the judges picked their gold team who will be entered into the Schools Ideas Olympics final which will take place in November.
