St Basil's, based in Heath Mill Lane, in the city centre, took gold at the Housing Corporations wards at a ceremony in London London, city, Canada London, city (1991 pop. 303,165), SE Ont., Canada, on the Thames River. The site was chosen in 1792 by Governor Simcoe to be the capital of Upper Canada, but York was made capital instead. London was settled in 1826. . The charity was honoured for its work helping 16-25 year olds find work, a home and develop their confidence. Jean Templeton, St Basil's chief executive, said: "We are delighted to be selected as winners of this the first gold award in tackling homelessness and look forward to sharing our expertise across the country."
