Central City News: HANDSWORTH.


ANYONE interested in how Handsworth Park Handsworth Park (originally Victoria Park) is a park in the Handsworth area of Birmingham, England. It lies 10 minutes by bus from the centre of Birmingham and comprises 63 acres (25 hectares) of landscaped grass slopes, including a large boating lake and a smaller pond fed by the  has been restored to its former glory can join in a grand tour. Everyone who takes part will get a complementary copy of a 40-page history of the park written by Simon Baddeley, who will lead the tour. The walk will start at 1pm on Sunday Sunday: see Sabbath; week.  September 10, starting from the park's main gates in Hamstead Road.
