When it came time for rat Hinson to open her business, it was all about her love for canine companions.

Central Bark started as an idea for a dog park, but after other parks began popping up in the Little Rock area, Hinson decided to start a dog training and obedience school An obedience school is an institution that trains pets (particularly dogs) how to behave properly. When puppies are young and in the first stages of training, they are often taken by their owners to obedience schools. Most obedience schools are located in the United States. .

"Six years after I took my first dog training class, I decided to open my own [school]. Looking into the future, Hinson wants to have her own store to do her training instead of training after hours Adv. 1. after hours - not during regular hours; "he often worked after hours"  at Woof! Woof!, a store that specializes in dog products. Her other option is to become a national franchise.

Before opening Central Bark, the 25-year-old worked at her parents' business, Wick 'n' Sticks, and trained with PetSmart and Petco.
