CentraVision Makes the Grade with Media 100.


RENO, Nev.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--March 31, 1997--MountainGate's CentraVision(TM) Fibre Channel Network solution recently received approval from Media 100 for use with Media 100 systems, following extensive testing of CentraVison at Media 100's labs in Marlboro, Massachusetts Massachusetts (măsəch`sĭts), most populous of the New England states of the NE United States. .

"The CentraVision Fibre Channel solution proved to be very solid in all our testing procedures," said Brenda Bergin, peripheral engineer for Media 100 in charge of testing third party equipment for use with Media 100 systems.

"We connected a workgroup consisting of four Media 100 workstations on the CentraVision Fibre Channel network and examined the performance in a real-life application environment. Our conclusion is that CentraVision performs as described by MountainGate, and we can recommend it to users of Media 100 systems. Together MountainGate's CentraVision and Media 100 provide a solid and productive solution for digital media authoring."
