Centigram and Delphi win New Business From Canadian Imperial Bank of Commerce Mortgages Inc.; Leading Toronto-based Financial Lending Company Upgrades Current System with Purchase of a Two-Module Series 6 Model 640 Communications Server.

SAN JOSE, Calif. and TORONTO--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Sept. 17, 1997-- Centigram Communications Corporation (NASDAQ:CGRM), a leading global provider of wireless and wireline messaging and communications solutions, and Delphi Solutions Inc., a major Canadian telecom distributor, announced today that the Canadian Imperial Bank of Commerce has purchased a two-module, model 640 Centigram Series 6 communications server.

The new system, scheduled for installation Oct. 4 at CIBC Mortgages Inc., replaces an installed Centigram system with a larger platform and will be used in two area offices.

CIBC, the second largest Canadian financial lending company, is using Centigram's Series 6 in its CIBC Mortgages office for all incoming calls and internal messaging needs of its nearly 1,200 employees and its thousands of mortgage customers. Additionally, CIBC is using the systems to provide networked messaging capabilities between two offices, auto-attendant for telephone answering, out-dialing to a user's pager and notification of messages.
