SAN JOSE, Calif.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--March 8, 1999--Centigram Communications Corporation (Nasdaq:CGRM), a leading global provider of advanced messaging and communications solutions, announced today it has signed a Global Agreement with Cable and Wireless plc (NYSE:CWP), under which Centigram has been named a Group Standard Supplier of messaging platforms to Cable & Wireless and its Group Companies and affiliates around the world.

To date, Cable & Wireless has selected Centigram's Series 6 to provide enhanced messaging platforms in 17 of its operations globally. These systems are in Panama, Bermuda and the Caribbean islands of Antigua, Dominica, Grenada, Jamaica, Montserrat, Barbados, St. Lucia, St. Vincent, Turks & Caicos, St. Kitts, Trinidad, Cayman Islands and the British Virgin Islands.

Centigram's Series 6 is now the enhanced services platform of choice in almost 80% of Cable & Wireless businesses in the Caribbean and Latin America region.

In the Asia-Pacific region, Centigram systems are deployed at Solomon Telekom Company, Ltd. in the Solomon Islands and Cable & Wireless Optus in Australia.
