When a person begins a civil lawsuit, the person enters into a process called litigation.

In connection with this settlement, Centigram purchased licenses to certain Octel and Syntellect patents. In addition, Centigram and Octel have cross-licensed certain other patents. Other terms of the settlement were not disclosed.
