Centex begins construction on new Manatee County high school.
The 287,000 square-foot high school is scheduled for completion in August 1998. The high school, with accommodations for approximately 1,900 students, will have four academic classroom buildings and also will include a 650-seat auditorium, media center, cafeteria, gymnasium, locker rooms and administrative offices.
Said Gary Huggins, project manager for Centex Rooney, "With a lot of hard work we've overcome some difficult budget challenges, but we've gotten the guaranteed maximum price approved and we will provide superior quality work and service to complete this project."
