Centers of Excellence Begin Serving Dallas-Fort Worth Customers; Rollout of PageNet's New Customer Support Infrastructure is on Schedule.


DALLAS--(BUSINESS WIRE)--March 2, 1999--PageNet (Nasdaq:PAGE) announced today the transition of Dallas-Fort Worth subscribers to its Centers of Excellence infrastructure, an integrated customer support system that incorporates telephone customer service, inventory management and fulfillment, billing and accounting and some technical operations. Dallas-Fort Worth becomes the second market to be served in its entirety by the Centers of Excellence, joining Salt Lake City. PageNet said it expects all U.S. subscribers to be served by the Centers by year-end.

The conversion of customers is part of a reorganization of U.S. operations announced by PageNet in February 1998. As part of the reorganization, PageNet's key support functions are being consolidated into company-wide facilities, or Centers of Excellence. The benefits of the newly integrated Centers are illustrated at the Customer Care Center of Excellence, where customer service representatives can automatically retrieve important data gathered from each of the other Centers.
