Centerra Gold Issues Update on Operations at its Kumtor Mine.


TORONTO -- Centerra Gold Centerra Gold Inc. (TSX: CG) is the gold mining company headquartered in Toronto, Canada.

The company was formed and went public in 2004 when Saskatoon, SK-based Cameco Corp.

:CG) today reported that operations at its Kumtor mine, in the Kyrgyz Republic, are currently unaffected by the civil unrest reported in some areas of the country.

The Company continues to closely monitor and evaluate the situation and will issue further updates as warranted.

The Kumtor mine is located about 350 kilometres east of the Kyrgyz Republic capital of Bishkek.
