Company to Begin Production of LENS(TM) Optical Networking Product

Centerpoint Broadband Technologies Inc., an optical networking company dedicated to delivering high capacity transport systems that maximize network performance, announced today that it has opened a manufacturing facility in San Jose, California.

This state-of-the-art manufacturing space is within one mile of Centerpoint's Silicon Valley headquarters.

Centerpoint's family of optical systems, the Lightwave Efficient Network Solutions (LENS) will be developed utilizing this facility to quickly ramp up production and facilitate the R&D process of their next generation systems.

Centerpoint's flagship optical networking system, LENS 1220, is the first optical aggregation and transport system to provide 20 Gbps capacity on a single wavelength. LENS 1220 helps carriers streamline services and significantly increase bandwidth for long haul, regional and metro areas.

LENS 1220 integrates state-of-the-art digital signal processing and bandwidth efficient RF modulation, with subcarrier multiplexing and optical modulation, to deliver the highest fiber bandwidth efficiency available today. Centerpoint is also using this core technology to create wireless systems that maximize valuable wireless spectrum and more cost-effectively deliver broadband services over the last mile.
