"The Yankee Group (the Yankee Group, Boston, MA, www.yankeegroup.com) A major market research, analysis and consulting firm founded in 1970 by Howard Anderson. It provides general consulting and strategic planning in the computer and communications field.  research indicates that a combined Windows and Linux environment will be the standard computing platform of choice for mid-market and enterprise companies," said Laura DiDio, research fellow at Yankee Group. "Linux has seen tremendous growth, especially in the datacenter," said Scott Kveton, director of Oregon State University's Open Source Lab.
